Matanë Art Residency
Shtatëmbëdhjetë from Prishtina and Art House from Shkodra started the collaboration for the Matanë Art Residency. Through our joint efforts, we look forward to nurturing and supporting a space for cultural and artistic exchanges in the Balkan region and beyond, which contributes to critical and rich conversations. An artist from Albania and an artist from Kosovo will be identified and invited to become part of the residency program. Matanë supports the relationship between art and research by giving space and time to artists of every discipline to work on a new project with access to different resources in Prishtina and Shkodra.
In addition to the residence, talks with artists will be organized. These talks will unite local communities and serve as tools for engaging in dialogue on artistic ideas and practice, thus nurturing and supporting a space for cultural and artistic exchange.
