Noise pollution
Noise pollution is a serious environmental issue that affects the health and well-being of people worldwide. In Kosovo, with its rapid economic development and urbanization, noise pollution has become a growing concern. As a result, there is a need for comprehensive research to better understand the sources, levels, and impacts of noise pollution in the country.
One of the latest studies by the National Library of Medicine shows that noises that are at levels that are not harmful to hearing are still described as dangerous noises for our subconscious, and during sleep. The body fights noise all the time, or tries to avoid it, causing nervous, hormonal and vascular changes that result in harmful results for the human body. If we are present in an environment with a sound intensity above 150 decibels, this can cause an explosion of the ear drum, but if the decibels are even higher than 185, this can result in internal organ disturbances, brain disorders and eventually cause death, especially if combined with lower frequencies. Noise levels above 80 dB are associated with aggressive and antisocial behavior.
