Transforming Everyday Objects into Instruments with Playtron
In this series of workshops, participants will learn various techniques for sound creation through synthesis and sampling. The focus will be on generating sounds using basic waveforms and recordings. Additionally, participants will explore the transformation of sound sources and their use with Playtron, turning everyday objects into musical instruments. The aim is to create and perform a short musical piece. These workshops are suitable for both beginners and those with experience who wish to expand their sound creation skills in new ways. Participants will use a Digital Audio Workstation(DAW) for sound design and editing, while Playtron will be used for performance. The workshops will take place once a month from April to May and will be repeated from September to November. At the end of both series, two original musical pieces will be created as the outcome of the participants’ work.
Participants may vary in their level of experience, and the ideal group size is up to six people.
