Queer and queerness for many of us is a little explored world. If you want to learn more about queer poetry and how it is written, about its power, about the differences between queer poetry and more traditional poetry, we invite you to the workshop on queer poetry led by Arbër Selmani. Through the analysis of queer poems, creative exercises that make us write poetry, the treatment of well-known Albanian and international authors who have written queer poems, come to this three-day workshop. Every day, for about two hours, we will learn about queer poetry and the possibility of publishing and publishing in the current literary reality in Kosovo.
Bio
Arbër Selmani is a writer and journalist from Prishtina. He has published four books, two with poetry and two with interviews in the field of cultural journalism. From time to time he lectures on queer literature and the protection of human rights. He is the winner of the International Poetry Festival ‘Tirana Gate 2021’ and the National Poetry Festival ‘Respoetica 2024’. He has been translated into English, Serbo-Croatian, French, Slovenian, German, French and Norwegian. He is currently working on his next book.
