Since its opening in 2018, Project Space 17 has been more than just a physical space. It has undoubtedly been the cornerstone of Shtatëmbëdhjetë’s function as an organization and the host of hundreds of different activities that have brought the community together. From the very beginning, when this space and the program to unfold were conceived, the idea was clear: to create a safe, inclusive space that unites the community through creative, educational, and entertaining programs. A place where art and culture blend seamlessly with activism, where personal and professional growth is not only encouraged but celebrated.

For 6 years, Project Space 17 was a shelter, a place to be inspired, to connect with others, and to grow in an environment that values inclusion and diversity. We remain hopeful that it has played a vital role in the lives of young people, artists, individuals, and various groups, offering opportunities to learn, develop their skills, and express themselves freely.

Although Shtatëmbëdhjetë is stepping away from managing this space, we do so with immense pride for everything that has been achieved there. We are grateful for every moment, every story, and every person who contributed to keeping Project Space 17 alive and active. We are eternally thankful for all the continuous support over these 6 years.

Project Space has been an oasis for Shtatëmbëdhjetë, and within that approach, we are passing on the concept to the Sekhmet Institute, where it will continue to thrive in a space like Project Space and contribute to carrying forward this concept. While our direct involvement may come to an end, Project Space 17 will continue to be a center of creativity, learning, and growth, and its impact will undoubtedly last for years to come thanks to the dedication and work that the Sekhmet Institute will carry out there.

Shtatëmbëdhjetë will continue with its exhibition program at Galeria 17 and with other activities to implement its vision and mission in a new format at Rezidenca 17.
