Smog Waltz
Arbër Salihu is a musician and multidisciplinary artist from Prishtina, known for exploring human sensitivity, absurdity, and collective experiences through music, video, directing, sound installations, and live performances.
As La Fazani, he creates performances and releases songs that challenge traditional forms, blending experimental sounds, dark humor, strange textures, and images deeply rooted in Balkan memory. His approach is free and playful, yet filled with reflection on life in congested cities, cultural values, and collective identity.
In 2024, he released his album “Specie Turshi” and has previously collaborated with important figures and groups within Kosovo’s alternative scene, such as Oborri, Cute Babulja, and Genc Salihu. He is also a composer for film and theater and has created works that involve installation and video art.
Arbër is part of the INFRARED Residency program, where he will develop the work “Smog Waltz” – a poetic reflection on the feeling of suffocation in urban spaces and the struggle to find movement, rhythm, and intimacy within a heavy, concrete reality. The work explores the tension between beauty and pollution, between the desire for breath and the atmosphere that stifles it.
His work seeks genuine connections through art, giving voice to feelings, memories, and questions that often remain in the shadows.
