Anila Spahiu is one of the beneficiaries of the residency program, a collaboration between Shtatëmbëdhjetë and Milvus Artistic Research Center – MARC. For three weeks Anila will work on her project “Ethereal Void” at Rezidenca 17.
“Ethereal Void” is a video installation that abstractly yet tangibly portrays spatial elements of light perception and the experience of emptiness. During her residency, she plans to further develop this project by experimenting with space and interactive installations that challenge the viewer’s perception through light and space.
Anila Spahiu is a visual artist who works with photography, video, graphics, and installation art. Originally from Kosovo, she completed her Master’s degree in Contemporary Visual Practices at the Academy of Visual Art in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her work often incorporates social themes and personal storytelling, using traditional and modern methods to bridge cultural heritage and contemporary expression. Anila has exhibited in various settings and collaborated with renowned artists and institutions, showcasing her dedication to fostering meaningful artistic dialogues.
