Kaltrina Berisha is one of the beneficiaries of the residency program, a collaboration between Shtatëmbëdhjetë and Milvus Artistic Research Center – MARC. For three weeks Kaltrina will work on her project “The Power of a Human Touch” at Rezidenca 17.
“The Power of a Human Touch” is an interactive installation that explores the transformative power of touch and human creativity. Using devices like Playtronica MIDI and TouchDesigner, everyday objects (e.g., a brick) activate projections showcasing humanity’s remarkable achievements, from iconic buildings to historic monuments. This installation reminds us that even the simplest materials hold extraordinary potential. Each touch takes viewers on a journey from the ordinary to the extraordinary, inspiring us to believe in our ability to create and shape the world around us.
Kaltrina Berisha is a multimedia artist based in Prishtina. She studied Graphic Design and Multimedia in LABA Firenze, where she cultivated her skills in blending traditional and digital art forms. Her early career focused on stop-motion and 2D animation, where she honed her expertise in creating detailed, dynamic visuals and compelling narratives. Currently she is on the early stages of her first short animation. In recent years, Kaltrina has began experimenting with new media, including projection mapping. This exploration has allowed her to merge animation with immersive, large-scale installations, creating engaging, multi-sensory experiences. Her work reflects a deep commitment to innovation, seamlessly integrating traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology to redefine the possibilities of multimedia art.”
