Metamorphosis II | Artistic intervention in public space.
Last year, Foundation Shtatëmbëdhjetë brought back for one day the collective memory of the building that once served as a canteen for the workers of the former company called “Ramiz Sadiku”.
This year we are continuing with the second edition of Metamorphosis, and for a day we are bringing attention to another abandoned building. We invite young people who are interested in the field of art to become part of the three day workshop, – Metamorphosis II. Areas in which you work or you are interested in contributing, among others, may be music, performance, photography, video, design, urban intervention, collective memory and social issues. Through the workshop you will be able to learn how to do field research to assemble the collective memory of the selected public space. You will also learn about different areas of art and about the process of implementing the activity from concept development to implementation. After the workshop, the predetermined groups will work to finalize their ideas for the artistic intervention which will take place in a building in Prishtina which has a history and values of cultural heritage. The work process will be in collaboration with the Metamorphosis II team.
All those aged 16-24 living in the Municipality of Prishtina have the right to apply. The application deadline is September 12, 2019. The workshop will be held on September 19, 20 and 21.
